Agartala: Nov 05: People are not getting proper services because of the risk of evasion of government employees; the complaint of short-term work being long-term has been coming up since the previous government. After the establishment of the present government, former Chief Minister Biplab Kumar Deb suddenly raided the government offices but did not take any action against the evading government employees. That trend is currently underway.As a result, government employees are working according to their will.
Chief Minister Dr. Manik Saha visited the office of the Public Works Department in the capital’s Netaji Chowmuhani area on Saturday afternoon. He went to every room of the office and talked to the government employees. After talking to the office official, he was find out that most of the workers are absent from the office. Finally, after the visit, he faced reporters and said, “I am not happy, it is very sad if people come to the office and do not get proper service”. Therefore, he said that he will take action on the matter.
He also said that these are old practices. The government wants government employees to come back from this practice and bring back the work culture. However, on this day, he warned the government employees that he will go to any office in the state at any time and if any employee is not in the office, the reason why he was not there will be investigated.
