Agartala: Nov 04: “Kings once made a promise they kept it. Tipra Motha party and its supremo Pradyot Kishore Deb Barman promised transparent administration before the elections. But in reality it did not happen”, East Tripura Constituency MP Rebati Tripura said this at a press conference at Ambassa Circuit House on Friday.
He said the Controller and Auditor General of the Central Government sent a letter to the Governor. The letter clearly states that there is no financial audit of Tripura Janjati Area Self-Governing Zilla Parishad. No financial discipline or rules are followed. ADC is a constitutional body. Money is paid there according to the rules. Everything should be done constitutionally there. But after Tipra Motha came to power, no constitutional rules are followed. The present letter to the Governor contains serious allegations. He further said that the Janjati Morcha has already provided deputation in all the sub-zonals of the state. On this day, the charge sheet was again filed against 8 zones. If no proper action is taken even after that then Raj Bhavan Abhiyan will be organized next time. He said that the details will be presented to the governor.
MP Rebati Tripura also said Tipra Motha is the supremo of the party, who identifies himself as Maharaj. However, the Maharaja has no place in a democracy. Traditionally he is called Maharaj by many. He should also respect the dreams of the Maharajas of the state. Earlier kings once made a promise kept it. The party and its supremo had promised to provide transparent administration before the elections. But in reality it did not happen. No action was taken after this complaint. In this situation, MP Rebati Tripura is hopeful that the Tipra Motha party supremo will take the initiative. His has vast knowledge of the Constitution. So MP Rebati Tripura gave a message to work according to this constitution. When Tipra Motha Dal was formed it was said that they would work for Tiprasa. They made their debut from an NGO to a political party. The Tiprasa were all giddy with that hope.
But the real picture is different. They are working in their own interest. There are CEMs and many OEMs who are charging a lot of money in the name of building police barracks. They are building their houses like palaces with that money. Those who did not need security had written. Now they are taking money in the name of building police barracks. MP Rebati Tripura said that this money should be paid. He said that the state government is doing what the state government should do. Timely audit of funds sent from center to state governments. But no audit is done in ADC. Millions of rupees work is being done without tender in zonal or sub zonal. He demanded that people’s money should be spent for the people.
